Owner's monthly pack from your figures
On one page: how did the month go for occupancy, pay and margin, and what changed in our market?
Upload the month's payroll, occupancy and accounts. Ask Orrery builds a short report with the month's key numbers, changes since last month, and anything new in the local market.
When people use it: Monthly, after payroll and accounts close.
How it works, step by step
Upload the month
The same three files each month give a pack you can compare.
Ask for the pack
Ask Orrery saves it as a report; save it as PDF for the board.
The market check
New homes, closures and occupancy in your council.
What you upload
- The month's payroll
- Occupancy
- Management accounts
Files are stored privately for your account, never shared with anyone and never used to train AI. You can delete them at any time. Spreadsheets, CSV, PDF and Word files all work, in your own layout.
Try it with sample files

Questions you can ask
- “Build my September owner's pack for Example House: occupancy, pay and overtime, income, EBITDARM, the change from August, and what changed in the Kent care home market this month.”
Ask the data in plain English
A real question and answer from Ask Orrery, the assistant inside the platform, using the Example Care Group sample files above (October 2026). It works from your files and Orrery's data, and shows its sources.
Your September owner's pack for Example House is saved. EBITDARM was £75,240, up £2,529 (3.5%) on August (£72,711).
- Occupancy: 53 residents in 60 beds (88.3%), the same as August and up from 86.7% a year ago.
- Income: £338,595, down £11,286 on August. September has 30 days and August 31, and every income line fell by exactly that ratio, so income per day was flat.
- Costs: £263,355, down £13,815. Care staff pay fell £6,966, repairs £2,714, agency £2,251 and National Insurance £1,115. The repairs drop may be timing, so not all of the gain will carry into October.
- Pay: gross payroll was £181,905 against £188,955 in August. Holiday hours fell sharply and sickness rose.
- Overtime: about 560 hours over contract, up from about 395 in August. This is my own calculation from the payroll rows, so treat it as a close estimate. Four people were well over contract in both months (E142, E124, E106, E151).
- Kent market: one new registration in September, Kings Hill Care Home (78 beds, Tonbridge and Malling, not yet rated). Kent occupancy is 88.3% at the end of Q3, against an England median of 87.9%.
The report also has the chart and tables. Gaps:
- Overtime has no cost attached.
- I don't hold your district, so I can't say how far Kings Hill is from you.
- Funded and self funding residents add to 50, not 53.
