Terms of sale
Last updated 13 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy a report from Orrery Intelligence, a trading name of TRG Digital Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company no. 11731704, Suite Ra01, 195-197 Wood Street, London, E17 3NU ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@orreryintelligence.com. Please read them before you buy. By ticking the box on our buy page and paying, you agree to them.
1. What you are buying
A council care market report is digital content: a report on the care home and home care market in one council area, for one edition (for example Q4 2026). We also sell focused reports on one part of that market (care homes, nursing homes or home care) for the same council and edition; these terms apply to them in the same way. Each report is supplied in two forms:
- Web report, opened from a private link after payment.
- PDF report, generated for you when you buy. Each PDF is stamped on every page with the buyer's name, email address and order number, and is protected so that its text cannot be copied, edited or extracted in normal PDF software. Printing is allowed.
The product page shows what each licence includes, the number of pages and sections, and sample pages. Reports are built from public data at the dates shown in the report; they are not updated after publication except through a new edition.
2. Prices, payment and who sells to you
Prices are shown in pounds sterling excluding VAT. VAT is added at checkout at the rate that applies to you. Payment is taken by Stripe through its merchant of record service, so your purchase is shown as "Sold through Onelink", your card statement shows LINK.COM* followed by our name, and your receipt and VAT invoice are emailed to you by Onelink. Onelink's own terms apply to the payment. We remain responsible for the report itself and for supporting you with it.
3. Delivery
After payment you are taken straight to a page with your report. We also email you the PDF and the links to the address you give at checkout. If nothing arrives within one hour, check your spam folder and then email us; we will send it again. Please keep a copy of the PDF: we keep your web link working for at least 12 months from purchase.
4. Your licence
We own the copyright and database rights in our reports (the underlying public data stays under its own licences, such as the Open Government Licence). When you pay, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the report as follows:
- Council report and focused reports: for the buyer's own use and internal use within the buyer's organisation, for example sharing it with colleagues working on the same decision.
- Report plus live data: as the council report, plus three months of access to live data for that council from the date the live data service opens.
- Adviser licence: for use across your firm, including quoting figures and using charts in work for your clients, with the credit "Source: Orrery Intelligence". Clients may receive extracts, not the whole report.
Unless your licence allows it, you must not: share, sell, publish or post the report or the PDF outside your organisation; remove or hide the buyer stamp; remove, bypass or break the PDF's copy protection; copy substantial parts into another document or product; or use our reports or data to build a competing product or to train software. Short quotes with the credit "Source: Orrery Intelligence" are fine. If you need wider use, ask us about the adviser licence.
If you break these rules we may end your licence and switch off your web link, and we may take further action to protect our rights.
5. Accuracy and use
Our reports are built from public data and our own analysis, with sources and dates throughout. Public records can be incomplete or out of date, and our commentary is our opinion. Reports are general market research, not financial, investment, legal or professional advice for your circumstances. Check key facts and take professional advice before you make decisions.
6. Your right to cancel
If you buy as a consumer, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. Because the report is supplied immediately, our buy page asks you to agree to immediate access and to confirm you understand that you lose the right to cancel once access begins. When you do, the 14 day right to cancel ends as soon as your report is available. Business purchases are not covered by this right.
This does not affect your legal rights if a report is faulty or not as described. Tell us and we will fix it, replace it or refund you.
7. Refunds
Email us at hello@orreryintelligence.com if something is wrong with your report and we will put it right. Refunds are made through Onelink to the card you paid with. Onelink support can also help with payment questions and refunds.
8. New editions
If a new edition of your council's report is published within 90 days of your purchase, we will send it to you free.
9. Personal information
We use your name, email address and order number to deliver your report, to stamp your PDF and to provide support, as set out in our privacy notice.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise our total liability to you for any purchase is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or for decisions you make using our reports.
11. Changes and law
We may update these terms for future purchases; the terms in force when you bought apply to your purchase. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there.
Live data subscriptions will have their own terms, published before subscriptions open.
